Shop Style: Maisonette in Hastings-on-Hudson

A new home accessory store brimming with sophisticated and trendy goodies.

July 23, 2012

Hastings-on-Hudson is known for its outstanding views of the Hudson, fine dining and some interesting American history. But home decorating? Why, yes! Enter Maisonette, a brand new home accessories store that’s got me excited about going back to Hastings again and again.

From citrus colored pillows to pep up your sofa ($85), an upholstered chair for a little family room oomph ($1750) or a statement mirror for the wall above your bed, Maisonette may have exactly what you’re looking for. Their python fabric x-benches ($450) are drool worthy and their uber hip python trays would be perfect on an entrance table for mail and keys ($30 – $50).

And check out those black, metal baskets for firewood, newspapers, magazines or even shoes by the front door. ($50 – $120)

I especially fell for their collection of The Ropes bracelets from Maine with touches of neon and nautical stripes. I left with one but I should have bought more! ($30 – $60)

While you’re in Hastings, don’t forget about the beautiful MacEachron Park with views of the Hudson and for a delicious lunch, try Taiim Falafel Shack.

Maisonette: 578 Warburton Avenue, Hastings-on-Hudson; 914-231-7454
