I’ve been on a personal quest for a burger to obsess over and, at last, I have found it. Armonk Burgers and Shakes has the perfect classic burger: that yummy chargrilled flavor, just the right thickness and, oh, so juicy. And their french fries? So worth the drive — and I live 30 minutes away!
I ordered my cheeseburger with sweet potato fries which were delicious, but my dad’s spicy Cajun fries were amazing ($5.75 plus $2 to substitute french fries instead of house chips). My friend got the Nurse Betty (below), a veggie burger topped with Swiss cheese ($6.99), sauteed fresh mushrooms and roasted peppers, and she sang its praises. My girls shared a grilled cheese sandwich which was thick with melted American cheese. ($3.99)
If you like more adventurous burgers, their Crunch BBQ Burger with cheese, chips and BBQ sounds mighty good ($5.50). Or how about the NY Burger with Bleu cheese and sauteed spinach ($5.99)? Armonk Burgers & Shakes also serves hot dogs, salads, sandwiches and will soon be serving breakfast. To top it all off, their shakes and sundaes are made with Haagen-Dazs ice cream.
Yup, I’m officially obsessed.
And if you’re new to Armonk, there is a cute downtown walking distance from Armonk Burgers & Shakes. Perfect for walking off the burger and fries!

So yummy and so cheap, unbelievable!
My hubby and I went as soon as I read blog. Yummy all the way. I mentioned we read about them from wee Westchester too! Another great kid friendly restaurant in Armonk is the Behive.

i really like your blog i find it very helpful, i’m new to Westchester County, we moved 5 months ago from New Jersey. I find everything expensive! and honestly i’ve been to few dining restaurants and was not too happy with their food. My friend read your blog, and we actually went today and visited this little cute joint. I love the laid back ambience, and when we got inside, its packed with corporate employees! I ordered the chili burger with Cajun fries and fountain drink and i paid $8.58! now that is cheap! you were right with their juicy burger and cajun fries its the best i had! i will come back again, thanks to you, now i know where to get a good burger at a good price!
