Cici Crib: the Go-To Store for Babies’ and Big Kid’s Rooms

Design consultation and shopping for the coolest rooms for kiddos.

August 27, 2012

When I stepped into Cici Crib in Armonk and I gasped, my five-year-old squealed and my three-year-old ran around the store in an over-excited frenzy. From Blabla dolls to Jonathan Adler clocks, vintage lamps and monogrammed rugs, you can pimp out your child’s room with or without the help of Cici’s owner, Christina.

Cici Crib doesn’t just sell the brand name stuff you see everywhere, but a host of items you won’t find anywhere else like this kid-sized, vintage rocker ($425) with whimsical owl print. My daughter sat on this chair and refused to stand up and how can you blame her? Everything in Cici Crib is so full of personality, you can’t help but want to bring home a little part of that excitement.

My five-year-old daughter was ready to move in when she saw this big girl’s bedroom. I had to literally pull her off the bed before she messed it up. While she was lounging, I drooled over the artwork throughout the store and Christina’s collection of chandeliers, pendent lights and table lamps in varying styles from contemporary to shabby chic to vintage.

Then I spied the below giraffe decal made from vintage wallpaper. I searched high and low for this collection of animals made from vintage wallpaper when my daughter was born. Little did I know Christina stocks a bunch of different animals in varying patterns ($30- $300).

If you’re looking for a baby gift, Cici Crib is also the place to go for Trumpette socks, luxurious bamboo baby blankets or even the famous Sophie the Giraffe teether.

If you’re interested in design consultation, the first 30 minutes are free and after that it’s $125 per hour but the cost will be credited towards your purchase. At home consultation is $350 for floor plan and general design plan.

Cici Crib: 409 Main Street, Armonk; 914-730-7242.
