Back to School With Mrs. Monogram

Backpacks, lunch bags, growth charts and more!

At Mrs. Monogram in Bedford, you can get practically anything monogrammed. I mean it. They monogram obvious things like stationery, bath robes and cosmetic bags, but they also monogram things you would never think of, like baby bloomers and lovies, lip gloss and soap. They monogram luxe items like silver business card holders and linen guest towels.

But what I like most is their monogrammed back to school items.

Send your kids to school with a backpack or lunch sack all his own. There’s a large variety of themed packs (ballet, butterflies, pirates, lady bugs, monkeys, and sports), plus your choice of 12 types of monogramming in over 20 colors.

There are two kinds of backpacks: a cute quilted backpack and a more traditional backpack plus Lunch Pals, Snack Squares and soft lunch boxes. Messenger Bags are cool for older kids in two color choices. (Prices range from $18 – $25 plus $7 for the monogramming.) Check out all the back packs and lunch bags for kids right here.

I also spied some adorable animal shaped water bottles, “Little Squirts,” that coordinate perfectly with the backpacks ($4 plus $7 for adhesive monogram). Imagine your child’s surprise on the first day of school when he opens his backpack and sees a monkey full of his favorite juice waiting for him.

Mrs. Monogram also carries the cutest items for birthday goody bags like monogrammed lip gloss and bubble wands!

I also love the idea of a monogrammed bulletin board or magnetic board to keep my daughter’s artwork and important info from school. More cute kid items are: crayon aprons ($19 plus monogram), doodle bags ($25 plus monogram), growth charts ($45 plus monogram) and personalized wall art ($135). There are so many goodies at Mrs. Monogram and each and every one (almost) can be monogrammed. Mrs. Monogram will even monogram items you bring into the store.

Mrs. Monogram is offering Wee Westchester readers a 15% discount on their first purchase. If you order on line use code: WEEWEST15 or print out this story and present it at the cashier.

If you’re new to Bedford, the village is really pretty with a village green and buildings dating from the 18th and early 19th centuries. There is a museum open to the public in the courthouse and a library that is so adorable it made me literally stop and gasp. Also, Bubble & Tweet, my absolute favorite store for kids’ clothing, is just around the block!

These things are wonderful, but I wonder if you’ve ever heard that having kids’ names on the things they wear/carry outside the home allows strangers to come up and call them by name as if they know them. Potentially dangerous. Other than that, this is a terrific resource. Thanks. I always mention WW when I follow up on one of your recommendations.
