Shop Local: Spruce Home and Garden

Spruce up your home for fall at this new store in Bronxville.

September 26, 2012

Spruce Home and Garden is a feast for the eyes. With garden accents like lanterns and urns that are nice enough to keep indoors, you won’t leave without ogling something at this new Bronxville home store. I was taken with the original artwork, throw pillows and large scale furniture like rattan benches and occasional chairs.

Here’s the really exciting part: Spruce manufactures its own line of accessories and furniture so they cut out the middle man — and as a result, charge less.

Think of Spruce as Anthropologie meets Restoration Hardware meets a small boutique, but everything is a lot less pricey and most everything at Spruce can only be found there. Here are a few items that caught my eye…

The above USA Wall Art Canvas ($219) would be incredible in a child’s bedroom, playroom or a family room. The Serpertine Vase also caught my attention. I love it on a dining table or mantelpiece. (10 vases for $67 and 20 vases for $132)

The Hanging Butterfly Balls would be beautiful in almost any room. Available in large ($100) and small ($49).

Original signed photographs by Shelli Breindenbach are $300 and breathtaking.

Decorative glass trays ranging from $12 – $52 are perfect gifts. I love this one by the door for keys and stray items.

Spruce was named after the term expression “sprucing up” or making your house look better. I love to spruce. Especially when the seasons change. If you’re looking for a few fall inspired items, check out Spruce for some sprucing of your own. Spruce Home and Garden also has three locations in CT and one store in Armonk. You can also shop on their website.

Visit Spruce this Friday, September 28, for a grand opening party and trunk show! The trunk show will feature pillows by Lindsay Corr made from vintage scarves and jewelry designed by Susan de Weil.

Spruce: 48 Pond Field Road, Bronxville; 1-877-633-2236.
