Thanksgiving Table Ideas From West Elm

Set the table with these fun, contemporary dining options.

November 2, 2012

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I decided to check out what our local West Elm carries to make the holiday a little more special. I’ve been thinking about buying new dishes for special occasions. I’m looking for something a little cooler than the dishes I registered for, but nothing I’ll be heartbroken over if it gets a little beaten up by the kids.

West Elm has a lot of options that fit my description. I particularly like the Jali Lattice Dinnerware with metallic Indian block print designs. The dinner plate, salad plate and bowl have different takes on the exotic motif giving the set a perfect “mix and match” look. The dinner plates are on sale for $44 for a set of four, $32 for four salad plates and $32 for four bowls.

The Metallic Cable Knit Placemats look festive and would pick up the metallic in the dinnerware. Placemats are $16 each. There is also a Metallic Cable Knit Runner ($27) and beautiful Metallic Diamond Print Napkins in three color choices.

The Laura Zindel Dessert Plates are a contemporary take on all those Thanksgiving themed dining options we usually see. I can imagine a big piece of pumpkin pie on one of these babies. And now they’re only $6 each. The Laura Zindel Platter is also a steal at $39.

And nothing says Thanksgiving like a cornucopia! The Teracotta Cornucopia is $39.

See more at West Elm or stop in at their location in Scarsdale in the Vernon Hills Shopping Center at 678 White Plains Road.
