Bridge View Tavern has something for everyone. The foodie loves the house smoked meats like pulled pork, brisket, wings and ribs. The beer aficionado comes for the rotating selection of over 20 beers on tap and growlers to take home. Enjoy wine on tap, wine lovers, and sports fans, you’ve got several TVs playing the game of the day. (But they weren’t intrusive for someone like me who doesn’t want to watch the game.) Others come for the spectacular views of the river (even if it’s a tad industrial with the old GM plant right in view). And kids love the kids menu with pot of super cheesy mac and cheese.
We were one happy family as we sat down for lunch in the cozy Bridge View Tavern in Sleepy Hollow. With about twenty tables, a fireplace, big windows letting in the sun and views of the river, we looked over the menu and came to the same conclusion. This was going to be a great lunch. I love really good pub food: fish and chips, hot dogs with all the fixings, prime beef burgers, chili and so much more. But, when I heard that they smoke their own meats, I had to get the pulled pork sandwich with homemade barbeque sauce. My hubbie ordered the BBQ Brisket Sandwich so we could taste both.

The family who owns Bridge View have been there since the hay day of the GM Plant; the son now runs the place. When he was a kid he used to run around and hide under tables. This old school restaurant/bar clearly has history with photos on the wall and the many beer taps displayed proudly. But don’t worry about the bar section of the restaurant. Bridge View is split in half, so if the bar gets rowdy you can still enjoy your dinner.
As much as I love the view, next time I’ll try Bridge View at night for the cozy atmosphere. I eyed the seasonal cocktail menu and envisioned myself sipping their warm apple cider with bourbon or their Fireside (Grey Goose Vodka, Stoli Apple Vodka, apple cider and lemon). There are also specials that will keep you coming back like 50 Cent Wing Night with brew and drink specials. (I can’t wait to try their house smoked wings with homemade red chili sauce and several BBQ choices.) See more specials on their website.
It’s so awesome finding a restaurant that makes us all happy. Bridge View Tavern: 226 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow; 914-332-0078. Open for lunch Tuesday – Sunday 11:30am – 4pm and dinner Monday – Sunday 5pm-10pm. Special late night menu Friday – Saturday 10pm – 11pm.

Looks fantastic! I wish I knew about this place last month when I was having crazy bbq pregnancy cravings!
Well…we ended up going (after meeting friends at The Play Place in Elmsford). It was fabulous. All 6 adults raved about the bbq & the kids loved the mac n cheese.
