We’ve all been there. The baby is finally on a schedule, you’re starting to feel like your non-pregnant self again, and now it’s time to face the music and get back on the treadmill, bike, mat or whatever physical activity you prefer. But let’s be honest, we may not always have the time to stretch, run, lift, sit-up, push-up and stretch again. Many moms just want a quick, no muss no fuss regimen that will get the job done and help you get your body back (or better) as soon as possible.

The Bar Method studio in Rye Brook has been a go-to spot for many Westchester moms for the past few years, mostly because in one invigorating yet relaxing hour it integrates the fat-burning format of interval training, the muscle shaping technique of isometrics, the elongating principles of dance conditioning, and the science of physical therapy to create a workout that quickly and safely reshapes your body.
“Bar Method is the greatest exercise program for women after they give birth because it targets the exact muscles women want to improve upon post-baby – their abs, core and overall realignment – through a no impact exercise that is challenging yet doable,” says Sara Giller, owner of The Bar Method, Rye Brook.
A friendly and talented team of instructors – many who are Westchester moms themselves – guide you through a sixty minute class that leaves you feeling graceful, poised and strong instead of a sweaty, red-faced mess that is usually the result of running on a treadmill on level six. And after one hour, you’re done…and on your way to getting a perfect “bar butt”.
