On Saturday, February 2, see The Musical Adventures of Henry and the Humbug at Concordia College at 11am. The description has me intrigued: “Henry wakes up in the morning with a song in his head. It’s cheerful enough, but after a while it starts to drive him bonkers. How will he ever get this song out of his head?” This original musical by Rami Vamos and Matt Van Brink was created for young and elementary school kids and produced and performed by Concordia Conservatory faculty. Tickets: $15 adults, $7.50 students and seniors. Purchase tickets here. 171 White Plains Road (Schoenfeld Campus Center), Bronxville

Most Fridays I drive to Irvington from Brooklyn to pick-up my step-daughter from school. I have my 18 mos old with me and I’m looking for something to do with him in the area. We usually leave Brooklyn in the late morning so my son could nap in the car and so I don’t stress about being late for pick-up due to traffic. So we have a few hours midday including lunch time to kill. We’ve done the Irvington library, Stone Barns, coffee shops and too many visits to Ridge Hill. Any thoughts on a play group or sing-a-long type place we could visit? I think when it’s warm out we can hang in the park but for now I’m running out of ideas. I need my son to get some energy out since he is in the car for about 2-3 hours total. Thanks for your help and I’m glad I found you (via A Child Grows in BK).
